Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has small Super AMOLED measuring at 5.6 inches, but it can render an impressive resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels at 524 ppi pixel density. Its dimensions are 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3 mm, weighs less than its rival at 174 grams, and its protected by a Coring Gorilla Glass 3.

The Fuse Joplin stated that iPad Mini3 has latest Apple A7 chipset along with an ARM v8 based Cyclone 1.3GHz dual-core processing unit. Its GPU is a PowerVR G6430 with a RAM capacity at 1 GB DDR3. It has three variants of internal at 16, 32, and 64GB which operates on the iOS 8.1, which upgradable to the iOS 8.1.3 version.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge on the other hand, is equipped Krait 450 based quad-core processing unit clocked at 2.7 GHz, partnered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, and Adreno 420 for graphics. It has 3GB of RAM with two sets of internal memory at 32 and 64GB, which by the way can expand up to 128 GB with a microSD card. It runs on the Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat).

In terms of camera, GSMArena stated that the Samsung phablet has 16MP primary, and a 3.7MP secondary camera, trumping the iPad Mini 3 with its 5MP, and 1.2 cameras. The Samsung phablet also beats its rival with many features like Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, and HDR, while the iPad Mini 3 has Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, and HDR photo.

For the battery, the iPad Mini 3 beats its rival at 6470 mAh, while the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is at 3000 mAh. But, the Samsung handset can last 18 hours, while the Apple tablet can last only 10 hours.

The Apple iPad Mini 3 cost around $380, while the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is worth $299.
