While "The Vampire Diaries" co-stars and former lovers were reportedly being quite touchy on set, Ian Somerhalder's fiancé, Nikki Reed, isn't being paranoid about it.
On the contrary, the former "Twilight" star supposedly wants her beau to keep in touch with Nina Dobrev, in contrast to a rumor that a fight broke out between the former best friends.
According to The Inquistr, Somerhalder brought his bride-to-be to Atlanta where they shoot "The Vampire Diaries" series. Scared that steamy scenes would trigger her man's feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Reed reportedly started stalking them on set.
Dobrev allegedly confronted her former best friend and a fight ensued.
However, a source for Hollywood Life revealed that the soon-to-be Mrs. Somerhalder feels "very confident" about the TV hottie's loyalty. She also "doesn't see Nina as a threat."
"Ian's close friends with pretty much all of his exes. She's OK with it," the insider claimed.
This isn't a one-sided feeling either.
"Ian encourages her to stay friends with her ex-husband [Paul McDonald]," the source added. "He's very open and not at all jealous."
In fact, Ian Somerhalder's fiancé reportedly wants to be close to Dobrev again.
"She would love if they could all be friends again," Hollywood Life further reported.
This might not be a far-fetched scenario, seeing that Dobrev looks like she has already moved on to another co-star. She is speculated to be dating Chris Wood who plays the big bad Malachi Parker in the CW show's sixth season.
Wood sent tongues wagging once again when he posted a photo of them together on Instagram after a muddy race. They look like their having a great time "casually dating" and fans have been supporting the pair since rumors started swirling around the couple.
Does Ian Somerhalder's fiancé, Nikki Reed has anything to be worried about? Do you think Nina Dobrev has finally moved on from her co-star and ex-boyfriend?
