Christina Milian's reality show will not feature her rumored boyfriend, Lil Wayne. According to a report from Hollywood.com, the "Dip It Low" singer described her present relationship as "new and special".
Without specifically naming Lil Wayne, the R&B singer joked about not inviting her current boyfriend to be part of Christina Milian's reality show. She reasoned that she is avoiding a so-called "reality TV curse," wherein couples who document their romance on television end up parting ways.
"I was just very careful with how I handled things," Christina Milian said about her reality show not fully revealing her love life.
"You always hear about this curse... and 'if you didn't display everything to the world then you'd still be together'"
"It's a very new relationship that I'm in right now," she admitted.
"I'm really enjoying it and I love that it's personal. It's he and I," Christina Milian added.
The sexy songstress also shared about how her mother and manager, Carmen Milian, was initially hesitant to do the Christina Milian reality show so as to not expose their personal issues.
"(She'd say), 'We're Cuban, we don't do that!'," Christina Milian narrated about her mom.
"She's got this thing... With Cubans, we're storytellers of all the really positive things and then we're good at talking about gossip... My mom's very traditional."
"She reads a lot of, like, the gossip mags and stuff, so to imagine all of a sudden now you're gonna be on the frontline of gossip and people talking about you," the singer pointed out.
Even though Christina Milian's reality show might not expose the real status of her relationship with rumored boyfriend Lil Wayne, the diva has been open about how happy she is at present.
She also frequently mentions Lil Wayne in her interviews, such as one reported by Daily Mail.
"These last six months have been a very exciting time in my life," Christina Milian confessed.
"My life is always changing, so when it comes to relationships and experiences, right now that's what's happening in my music."
"For (Lil Wayne) to do the same thing and to compliment that with each other... to just be ourselves... it is very special," Christina Milian admitted.
