Carrie Underwood news reported how the pregnant country star sent a powerful message about parenting with her new music video for her latest song, "Little Toy Guns".

According to the news from Rolling Stone, the new music video was released via Carrie Underwood's official Facebook page last Friday.

"This little girl hears her parents fighting, and it really affects her," the former "American Idol" winner explained about "Little Toy Guns".

The title signifies how the child in the song wishes that her parents' hurtful words were just like harmless shots from little toy guns.

Carrie Underwood news reveal that the new music video is directed by PR Brown and is set on a child's fantasy storybook world. The make-believe land is where the daughter plays a mythical hero, who rushes into a deep forest to reunite her parents who are constantly fighting in real life.

The Grammy-winning country star took to social media to share her excitement for her new music video.

"As a special thanks for all of your support over the years I want YOU to be the first to see my brand new video for "Little Toy Guns!" she announced.

In relation to Carrie Underwood's parenting message in "Little Toy Guns", the pregnant singer is due to give birth this spring to her first child with husband Mike Fisher. She and the 31-year-old professional hockey player from Nashville are both first-time parents, and are expecting a baby boy.

"Little Toy Guns" is part of the international singer's latest album "Greatest Hits: Decade #1". The compilation contains previous songs that have been reworked, as well as new tracks such as her current chart-topper "Something in the Water".

The said hit single has been on top of country charts for weeks. However, some critics have slammed Carrie Underwood for releasing a song that speaks boldly about the blond singer's beliefs as a Born Again Christian.

According to a news report from Breitbart, Carrie Underwood issued a statement to address the criticisms about "Something in the Water" and her music in general.

"I'm not the first person to sing about God, Jesus, faith (or) any of that, and I won't be the last," Carrie Underwood said.

"And it won't be the last for me, either. If you don't like it, change the channel."
