Fans are definitely excited to see what will happen when "Hannibal" season 3 premieres in the summer.

Although no specific date has been confirmed as of the moment, fans of the highly addicting TV series are already raving about the upcoming run that will include a few surprises. New reports claimed that more characters will be introduced in season 3, including a "creepy" aid to Mason Verger.

"True Detective" star Glenn Fleshler will join the cast next season as Dr. Cordell Doemling, a"quiet, very intelligent and definitely creepy" doctor to Verger.

"Cordell is described as a professional who cares about his work, even if he might be every bit as sadistic as his employer, as well as 'a perfect fit to become his potential henchman,'" Screen Crush reported.

Meanwhile, news of returning cast members is another reason for fans to watch out for "Hannibal" season 3.

"We know of ‘Hannibal’ season 3 that Gillian Anderson has been upgraded to series regular as Dr. Bedelia du Maurier, last cryptically seen flying alongside Hannibal in the post-credits tag of season 2 finale bloodbath 'Mizumono,'" Screen Crush continued to say.

"Raul Esparza will return to the role of Dr. Frederick Chilton, and Bryan Fuller suggested Eddie Izzard could return to the role of the late Dr. Abel Gideon as well."

"Hannibal" season 3 will also have a bit of a time jump when it airs in the summer. Reports have suggested that episode 8 will fast forward a few years later to introduce a new pivotal character.
