In line with DC Comic's live action adaptation projects, the company will be bringing popular comic series "The Teen Titans" to life. Nerdist gave their own speculations as to which characters will be appearing in TNT's "The Titans."
Will popular characters from the Cartoon Network's animated version be in the live action adaptation?
Nerdist's Jessica Chobot revealed the comic book characters who will reportedly be appearing in the new show, at least for the pilot episode.
First off is a "young adult" Dick Grayson, who will allegedly keep his Robin personality in the beginning of the series. He will presumably become Nightwing later on.
Barbara Gordon will also be in the pilot episode. Formerly known as Batgirl, she will reportedly be appearing in the series on a wheelchair. With this handicap, she will reportedly become the group's "resident computer hacker."
According to Nerdist, she could also be thrown into a love triangle with Dick Grayson and the alien princess Starfire. Also known as Koriand'r, she hails from the planet Tamaran and will presumably show interest in Dick Grayson.
Other characters in TNT's "The Titans" include Hawk and Dove. They will reportedly follow the romantic arch from the comic book series. They will also have the most different looks in the live action series compared to the original characters.
Raven, the demon Trigon's daughter, will also be joining the Titans for the pilot episode.
Other favorite characters from the cartoon version are noticeably absent from the list but Nerdist believes that Cyborg and Beast Boy will join the group later on the series. The report also speculates that Arsenal and The Flash could also cross over to the new show. After all, Warner Brothers own both The CW and TNT.
According to Screen Rant, however, this is an unlikely scenario seeing as talks of crossovers for "Supergirl" have been shot down by the CBS.
