As fans already know, Disney has yet to confirm "Frozen 2," but has already announced a short movie entitled "Frozen Fever."
New reports however are starting to link "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence to the impending sequel. Sources said that JLaw has been eyed by execs because of her display of natural singing talent when she sang in the latest "Hunger Games" flick. No confirmation or further details have been provided for the said rumor as of the moment.
Apart from the casting rumor, fans are also going crazy about Queen Elsa and Jack Frost. Some are commenting that the two are definitely a match given their "icy" disposition. "Jelsa" as fans would call the team-up is really something they would like to see in the sequel.
Meanwhile, new images from the new "Frozen" short called "Frozen Fever" has been released. Along with the new screenshots, Disney has also announced that they will be unveiling a new catchy tune just like "Let It Go." Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will again team-up to create a new song for "Frozen Fever."
However, if fans are expecting to see a full 90-minute movie, they could be disappointed to find out that the short is indeed short. "Frozen Fever" will only be 7 minutes long.
The new movie will feature a very simple plot involving Anna's birthday. Elsa and Kristoff will be in charge of the whole planning, but the ice queen's powers could cause some troubles.
"The gang is back together. And literally it's like we never went away," Josh Gad, who plays Olaf, said. "Every day we're reminded of Frozen in our lives. So it feels like a continuation of a saga that has many parts still untold. It felt like coming home again after a short absence."
"Frozen Fever" will be released in spring, and will have directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck on board again.
