‘Castaway’ Star Tom Hanks Meets Long-Lost Friend At A Hockey Game After 15 Years! Did His Reunion With Wilson Inspire The Rangers’ Win?

It has been 15 years since "Castaway" star Tom Hanks last saw his friend, Wilson.

A lot of people wondered what happened to Wilson after being left behind in the island. Last night, however, Chuck Noland's (Hanks) old friend finally came back! They were finally reunited last Wednesday during a Hockey game at the Madison Square Garden in-house entertainment unit.

The famous actor was found among the crowd by a camera and even managed to get him to wave to the camera.

He looked a bit uncomfortable about being spotted but soon grew relaxed when someone threw a volleyball at him. It wasn't just any volleyball, though, it was Wilson, the only friend he had while he was an island-dweller in the 1999 movie, "Castaway."

In the film, he and Wilson (which was a ball with a bloody handprint for a face) were inseparable until Hanks lost him while escaping the uninhibited island.

Clearly delighted with (a suspiciously new-looking) Wilson in his arms, the Hollywood royalty started cheering for the Rangers.

The whole thing was captured and uploaded by the Rangers' official Instagram.

"ICYMI at the #NYR game last night Tom Hanks and Wilson were finally reunited! #BFF," the hilarious clip was captioned.

It looks like having the "Castaway" star Tom Hanks reunite with his old friend boosted the players' energy level. The Rangers beat The Boston Bruins in a come-from-behind victory that night.

Hanks' had looked very eager even after the ball nearly hit face. According to Cinemablend, the 58-year-old superstar is the one of the "nicest" celebrities in Hollywood who are still active.

He's so nice that even his "The Da Vinci Code" co-star Paul Bettany couldn't help but admire him. He relayed a very hilarious fight scene that ended up with Hanks accidentally farting after being punched.

"I punched him, and he farted. And I didn't know what the... I didn't know what the right thing to do was. Whether you mention it or - as an Englishman, I felt as if I should say, 'Oh God, sorry! I farted!' He just looked at me and said, 'You just made me fart. Isn't that funny?' And I loved him for it," the "Mortdecai" actor shared.
