Infinite’s Sung Gyu Needs Practice Before He Can Play A Player

At the February 9 press conference for the new web drama "Love Detective Sherlock K," Infinite's Kim Sung Gyu spoke about the amount of preparation he needed to do before playing his playboy character.

"I am taking the role of a second-generation chaebol who is also a playboy," he said. "I'm worried because I've never cheated on anyone."

He did say he would try his best but he was not sure how you went about getting experience being a player.

"I haven't thought about it," he said. "I confirmed my appearance yesterday so I don't yet know how I should work at it. I will try going to a club. I will work hard to analyze how I can win girls' hearts."

The singer-actor has had some practice winning girls' hearts as a member of Infinite, but practice makes perfect.

In the romantic web drama his co-stars will include Girls Day's Kim Yura, actress Han Chae Young, Shin Hyun Joon and Joo Jung Hyuk.

In the web drama Han Chae Young plays Detective K, a woman who disguises herself as a man. It will be Han's first time playing a woman pretending to be a man.

Her character Detective K is an expert in the psychology of dating. Detective K can analyze dating behavior using scientific means and also by applying some common sense.

Kim Yura plays a popular top star named Yura. She's also the woman that Sung Gyu loves. But since he is a womanizer their relationship may have problems. Hopefully Detective K can analyze the reasons for his womanizing and can save their relationship.

Joo Jung Hyuk will play Detective K's assistant.

The web drama is expected to have eight episodes and may begin airing at the end of February or early in March.

Sung Gyu previously had a cameo as himself in the drama "The Thousandth Man." He played Lee Hoon in the 2013 drama "Pure Love." His acting credits also include roles in two musicals. He played Jiyoung in "Gwanghamun Sonata" and Count Dracula in "Vampire."

Han Chae Young was last seen in "Pretty Man" with co-stars Jang Geun Suk, IU, and Lee Jang Woo. She also appeared in "Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek."

Yura currently appears on "We Got Married" with co-star Hong Jung Hyun. She has appeared in several dramas, including "To The Beautiful You" and "Be Arrogant."
