It has been reported that Rockstar is now looking into going into heavy development of "Red Dead Redemption 2", if the reports and rumors are to be believed.

Rockstar San Diego, the dev team behind "Red Dead Redemption" and "Red Dead Revolver", is looking for applicants for various positions for the development of their future games for the PS4, Xbox One and PC and it is reported that the game that they are developing now is "Red Dead Redemption 2".

Christian Today reported on the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date when they noted that, "The subsidiary that will be directly responsible for the creation of "Red Dead Redemption 2" had earlier opened up 35 new job openings to join its development squad, indicating that the studio is on to something huge."

Meanwhile, this announcement of Rockstar San Diego comes after the reports that the publisher of "Red Dead Redemption", Take-Two Interactive, may have teased that the next game in the franchise is in the works.

WCCF Tech has reported that, "Take-Two Interactive held its financial conference call for the fiscal quarter which concluded on December 31. Beside numbers and figures, the publisher provided a glimpse at what players can expect for the next fiscal year, and beyond. The publisher confirmed that NBA and WWE 2K will get their annual releases, and that 2K Games and Gearbox software are working on a brand new Borderlands game that is mainly aimed at the next-gen consoles. With all that, players can also expect 'exciting' new unannounced games from other popular franchises...it is very much possible that one of those unannounced games is the most desired Red Dead Redemption 2"

Their speculation comes from the statement made by Take-Two when they said that "In addition, we have numerous unannounced titles in development, as well as innovative offerings designed to maximize player engagement and drive recurring consumer spending. We have more to announce about our future line-up in the coming months."

And when Take-Two said that, "It's been our goal not just to preserve and grow the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but also to build other franchises that we think can be permanent, whether that's the Red Dead franchise or the Borderlands franchise or the BioShock franchise or others, Civilization, for example."

While no official confirmation about "Red Dead Redemption 2" has surfaced, Take-Two interactive urges gamers to wait for further announcements in the coming months.
