Full Control has confirmed that the "Space Hulks Ascension" expansion release date is going to be this February 2015 and they have revealed what the expansion for the game contains.

DSO Gaming has reported that the devs of "Space Hulks Ascension" announced that the second expansion for the game would launch sometime this February for the PC, Mac and Linux on Steam.

According to DSO Gaming, "The Salamanders Expansion unlocks the Salamander Chapter and brings 20 new unique story missions and 20 flash missions for players to conquer in Space Hulk: Ascension."

The new expansion for the game would have over 30 hours of new content added to the game and GameNGuide has detailed the new additions that the new expansion would bring.

"The powerful Chapter of Imperial shock troops board the Space Hulk 'Virtue of Hatred' and discover 'priceless pages from the Tome of Fire.' They will let nothing - especially a ravenous horde of Genestealers - stand between them and their goal" says the report.

GameNGuide then continued, "The Salamanders bring new abilities to the table, as players can now have two Heavy Class Terminators in a squad, each with the option of having a Heavy Flamer to boot. The Salamanders also have an extra Flamer pattern too, and can walk unharmed through flames. The new Salamander Librarian also has some ferocious new 'pyrokinetic' powers."

DSO Gaming also quotes the CEO of Full Control when he commented that the new "Salamander" expansion is their most exciting release yet:

"This is our most exciting chapter release to date, with a bucketload of new content for Space Hulk: Ascension players. The 3D models of the Salamanders are fantastic with lots of new details, and their scorched skin and bright red eyes make them stand out as a force to be reckoned with in the iconic Space Hulk universe."
