Gamers can play "Interstellar Marines" for free as Zero Point Studios has made the "Interstellar Marines" download available for everyone to use until February 16.

DSO Gaming has reported that, "Zero Point Software today announced their Early Access title, Interstellar Marines, is available to all Steam users to play for free from Feb 9th until Feb 16th."

Users can simply log-on in Steam and download the game for free by going to the game's store page and clicking the download button.

DSO Gaming quoted the Creative Director for "Interstellar Marines," Kim Haar Jorgensen, when the dev talked about their reason for putting the game for free on Steam for a limited time:

"'Interstellar Marines' is at the stage where we want to invite people in to try it out and investigate the universe we are building. Having a free week on Steam ensures we can do that with the widest possible audience. We're really proud of how far we've reached, and we think Interstellar Marines is at the perfect stage to ask the wider gaming community to come and have a look."

"Recently we've added a huge amount of new features and content. For example last week's update included many community-requested features, it greatly enhanced tactical movement and also introduced a brand new tutorial level. Over the last six months we have made substantial additions to Interstellar Marines, such as adding co-op, releasing many new missions and introducing three new game modes."

Meanwhile, the Steam page for the game notes that out of 2,883 reviews for the game, most of them are positive.

For those who are interested in playing "Interstellar Marines" after the free period, a special 66% discount has been placed on the game but the offer lasts until February 16 only.
