Former Blink 182 frontman Tom Delonge recently confirmed the release of new songs through his personal Facebook account.
"The date is March 1st - I have a lot of music I was working hard on.... Things happen, so I guess we have a change of plans..." Delonge posted on the social media site along with a photo of himself.
"Either way, I think you guys should hear it. #SongsWithoutAHome #ToTheStars #TomDeLonge," the 39-year-old musician added.
His former bandmates, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker shared the existence of the said songs in a previous interview with Rolling Stone.
"And I'm sure that Tom has music somewhere at his studio," Hoppus answered when asked about the band's new music.
Tom Delonge also confirmed his new music by posting snippets of his work on Instagram.
Hoppus and Barker previously released a statement about their former guitarist and vocalist "indefinitely" leaving Blink 182. They also told Rolling Stone in a candid interview that they were already planning for the band's comeback album when Delonge's manager allegedly sent them an email telling them that "Tom. Is. Out."
Delonge then turned to Instagram to counter the announcement because he "never quit the band."
He later posted a letter to his fans (which was published on Facebook on Jan. 27) explaining what really happened to the group. According to Delonge, all three of them were "accountable."
"At the end of the day, we've always been dysfunctional, which is why we haven't talked in months," he continued. "But we never did. In the 8 years we have been together it has always been that way."
At the end of the post, he insisted that he still cares deeply for Hoppus and Barker.
"Like brothers, and like old friends. But our relationship got poisoned yesterday," he pointed out, adding that he "Never planned on quitting, just find it hard as hell to commit."
Now that Tom Delonge confirmed the release of the new songs that he had been "working hard on," it seems that he's finally moving on from the split.
