Me! magazine recently featured an interview with former Girls Generation member Jessica Jung, who is now the creative director of her own fashion company Blanc & Eclare.
The timing of Jessica's departure from Girls Generation caused some controversy but she's pleased with her company and open to new possibilities.
Those possibilities include singing. At the time of her departure from Girls Generation she did say she might work on a solo career. And in the Me! magazine interview, she also said she would consider working with her younger sister, Krystal Jung.
Krystal is a member of the girl group f(x) and also an up-and-coming actress. She recently played a leading role in the drama "My Lovely Girl" co-starring with singer-actor Rain and Infinite's L.
When asked about the possibility of working with Krystal, Jessica seemed open to the idea.
""Everything has the possibility of happening in the future, I can't be sure," said Jessica. "However, I'll do things step by step, like when I first created the brand, I didn't think about it too much because I liked sunglasses. I started drawing the sketches, then added on the frames and colors. After that, the brand started shaping up. So when the time is right, why not?"
The sisters are close and have worked together before. They collaborated on the program "Jessica and Krystal," in which they unveiled details about their real lives. For the show's episodes they traveled together to Los Angeles and New York City.
One reason they did the show was to share more of their real personalities and correct some misperceptions that fans might have.
For example, Jessica was nicknamed "Ice Princess," but she wants viewers to know that she is not cold.
"I think I got that nickname because I was very shy during the early days of my debut," said Jessica. "But now I've become a lot more outgoing and extroverted."
Creating a fashion company was Jessica's dream come true.
"I am excited to develop a fashion collection and introduce new items and style to the world,' she wrote on Weibo at the time of her company launch. "Through creative work with other designers and fashion icons, I am learning a lot and I want to consistently share news of the partnership and collaboration that I have going on right now."
When asked about the source of her inspiration it was close to home.
"If I hadn't entered the entertainment industry, I would already be an established fashion designer. I think I was influenced a lot growing up by my elegant mother," said Jessica. "I look up to my mother."
