Another photo from "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." has been released by Warner Bros. showing Henry Cavill looking very much like "James Bond" in Guy Richie's film.
The British actor is wearing a black suit while holding a revolver in the snapshot which gives the impression that he is also "licenced to kill" like Agent 007. According to People, Henry Cavill plays the role of Napoleon Solo, an agent in the flick he calls "a cool, sexy and especially not heavy Cold War spy thriller."
Together with Henry Cavill are two handsome actors, as People have reported. Armie Hammer plays KGB agent Illya Kuryakin and Hugh Grant acts as Waverly, the head of the U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement) organization.
"They're both wonderful people and a pleasure to work with," Cavill said. "Any funny stories I'm going to keep to myself, though. No telling tales out of school."
"The Man From U.N.C.L.E." is set at the height of the Cold War in 1960's. According to its synopsis, the film "centers on CIA agent Solo and KGB agent Kuryakin [who are] forced to put aside longstanding hostilities. The two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo's only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe."
People recounted Henry Cavill's remarks regarding "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.'s" distinctive style designed by Oscar-nominated Joanna Johnston displaying 60's fashion. The British heartthrob said "'it's very defining' to act in costume."
Not only that, the 31-year-old actor also expressed his appreciation for director Guy Richie.
"He made the whole experience an absolute pleasure," Cavill said. "I'm lucky to have worked with him."
Ew.com noted that Guy Richie's approach to "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." is similar to Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Sherlock Holmes adaptation depicting action combined with humor with a lot of sexiness for Henry Cavill ala James Bond.
