Lady Gaga news reported how the "Poker Face" singer's testimony helped songwriter Wendy Starland win a $7.3M lawsuit after claiming that it was she who really discovered the pop star. According to a report from Billboard, her ex-producer, Rob Fusari, is very disappointed with the verdict.

The Lady Gaga news item recalled the details that the pop diva shared in a pre-trial deposition.

"My understanding was that Wendy and him had initially agreed upon 50/50 perhaps before Wendy ever found me," Lady Gaga admitted.

"After I was signed to Rob and made music, Rob began to change his mind."

"Rob told me himself. Wendy told me herself. They both spoke of the deal, agreement, in front of me," Lady Gaga explained about how her two discoverers planned to launch her singing career.

Wendy Starland recalled how she was hired by Rob Fusari, and how her search led to discovering Lady Gaga.

"Fusari asked me to find an artist under the age of 25 who could be the female equivalent to the lead singer of The Strokes," Wendy Starland explained.

"I had attended about 50 live performances and searched for countless hours online before finding an artist who fit the bill."

"We all spent a lot of time together and were extremely close, so naturally, (Lady Gaga) was around while we talked business. I'm glad that she had a clear recollection of my agreement with Rob," Wendy Starland said.

Wendy Fusari claimed that Rob Fusari eventually altered their agreement when Lady Gaga became more popular.

"The original deal we made was in 2005. Rob had made several promises to honor our agreement before attempting to alter it in late 2008 (or) early 2009," Lady Gaga's discoverer said.

Lady Gaga news claimed that it took four years before Wendy Fusari filed a formal case for a federal jury in Newark, New Jersey to side with her about who really discovered Lady Gaga.

As a result, Rob Fusari is required to pay her approximately $7.3 million in damages. A spokesperson for the Grammy-winning producer said that their camp not at all pleased with the court ruling.

"We are very disappointed with the verdict and are in the process of analyzing our options," said Rob Fusari's rep.
