Is RHONJ Getting Canceled Because Of Teresa Giudice? Bravo Won’t Be Bringing Cameras To Prison

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice reported to prison on January 5 to serve her 15-month sentence and is reportedly expected to be released from custody early next year, according to The Inquisitr.

After Teresa Giudice reported to prison, there had been rumors that the mother-of-four would be fired from the show, and now there is speculation that RHONJ won’t be up for a seventh season.

Andy Cohen has reportedly since denied rumors of the show being canceled.

“I can’t imagine not filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Cohen told Us Weekly.

He continued, “It’s a big franchise for Bravo, and I think whatever we do, we’re going to do it the right way, so we’re still figuring that out right now.”

Cohen and other Bravo executives have reportedly thought about the possibly of filming Teresa Guidice in prison, but the possibility of that happening is very low.

“I don’t know the specifics of what they allow, but I can’t see them allowing [us to film people visiting her in prison],” explained Cohen.

The cameras being unable to go behind bars might be better for the Giudice family so their visits can remain private. Teresa’s four daughters and her husband, Joe, have reportedly visited the reality television star recently and the girls remain in constant contact with their mom.

“We can talk to her on a daily basis and we have access to emailing her whenever we want. So that’s amazing. It definitely helps with, like, coping with missing her and stuff,” explained Teresa’s eldest daughter Gia.

The 14-year-old continued, “I mean, my dad has been amazing. Like, he’s honestly the rock. He’s helping us so much.”

Although RHONJ may not be canceled, co-stars of Teresa have already seemed to decide that she shouldn’t be a part of the cast any longer.

“I think glorifying a felon’s life is counterproductive, and I don’t think it’s appropriate,” explained RHONJ co-star Jim Marchese stated, according to the NY Daily News.
