On February 16, the producer of the variety show “We Got Married” spoke out against previous reports which claimed that Hong Jung Hyun, Yura of Girl's Day, Nam Goong Min, and Hong Jin Young would be leaving from the popular show.
“We Got Married” producer Sun Hye Yoon refuted the claims through a statement provided to the Korean publication MyDaily. In the statement published by MyDaily the producer stated, “Their virtual married life will come to an end but there are no plans for the couples to film their last episodes or leave the show.”
This is contradictory to previously published articles which stated that both couples would be immediately departing from the scripted reality show. In addition to the statement provided from the show's producer, representatives for Hong and Yura provided statements in which they disavowed knowledge that the couple would be departing from the program.
“We Got Married” has recently been plagued by dating scandals involving some of the most popular couples on the show.
On January 22, the Korean publication Women's Sense published a report that featured photos which allegedly depicted Hong Jung Hyun on a date with After School's Nana. The stars were previously featured as hosts of the OnStyle fashion program, “Style Log.” According to the report in Women's Sense, Nana openly acknowledged her relationship with Hong during the filming of “Style Log.”
However, representatives for Hong Jung Hyun and MBC denied the claims. Pledis Entertainment, the agency which represents Nana and After School, also denied the report.
Actress Kim So Eun was also recently involved in dating rumors. Her representatives have denied her dating rumors and she addressed the issue on the February 14 episode of the program. Although, her popularity was established through the teen drama “Boys Over Flowers,” her career has been revitalized through her participation on “We Got Married.” Fans have enjoyed her virtual relationship with Song Jae Rim and have remained supportive of the virtual couple.
