Paula Patton found herself embroiled in the legal battle between ex-husband Robin Thicke and Marvin Gaye. Meanwhile, the "Baggage Claim" actress showed off her sexy figure while purchasing beach towels in Malibu.

The report from TMZ revealed that Paula Patton is being summoned to testify in the case against her ex-husband Robin Thicke who was accused of ripping off Marvin Gaye for his song, "Love After War."

"According to court docs ... Robin's estranged wife is listed as a witness for the case which still looks like it's heading to trial," the article said. "Marvin Gaye III and Robin have been warring over 'Blurred' and a handful of other Thicke tunes."

Marvin Gaye believed that Robin Thicke ripped off his song "After the Dance." But TMZ said that Paula Patton was credited as having co-written "Love After War," so it would be interesting to hear her take on the accusation from the legendary singer.

"Going through a very public, painful, drawn out break-up with your ex -- and then calling her to testify on your behalf in a major legal battle ... seems like a recipe for disaster," TMZ added.

Meanwhile, Paula Patton seemed unperturbed by the controversy surrounding her ex-husband, Robin Thicke.

On Sunday, she was snapped purchasing beach towels and she couldn't help but beam as she stepped out of a store in Malibu, said Daily Mail.

The 39-year-old actress was wearing Daisy dukes and a plain white shirt, which she paired with Converse sneakers. For good measure, she tied a flannel shirt around her waist as she made her way into her vehicle.

"With her hair tossed back in relaxed waves, the beaming actress looked ready to hit the beach," the publication said. "Paula went practically make-up free, going for just a coat of pink blush and lip gloss to highlight her natural beauty."
