We compare the Galaxy Note Edge against the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 to see which Samsung device is the better purchase.
According to TheFuseJoplin, both Samsung device have Super AMOLED display which can render a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. The difference between the two is that the Galaxy Note Edge's screen is smaller at 5.6 inches, while the Galaxy Tab S is bigger at 10.5 inches. The Galaxy Edge has the following dimensions of 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3 mm, and weighs around 174 grams. The Galaxy Tab S weighs heavier at 465 grams, and its dimensions are 247.3 x 177.3 x 6.6 mm. The draw back of the Tab S is that it doesn't have protection, unlike the Note Edge which has the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
For hardware and OS, both Samsung devices are equipped with quad-core processors, but the Galaxy Note Edge is clocked at 2.7 GHz, while the Tab S has two variants clocked at 1.9 GHz and 1.3 GHz. The Note Edge processor is paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, and an Adreno 420 GPU, while the Tab S has Exynos 5 Octa 5420, and the Mali-T628 MP6 for graphics. Both devices have 3G of RAM, but the Note Edge has a bigger internal memory of 32/64 GB, while Tab S has only 16/32 GB. Another good thing about these devices is that they can expand their memories at 128 GB with a microSD card.
They both operate in the Android software as the Note Edge runs on the Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat), while the Tab S has the Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat).
TheFuseJoplin stated that Galaxy Note Edge has better rear camera at 16MP with a resolution of 3456 x 4608 pixels compared to the 8MP camera of the Tab S with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The Note Edge's second shooter is also higher at 3.7 MP, while Tab S is only 2.1MP
Tab S beats the Note Edge when it comes to battery as its battery is at 7900 mAh compared to the 3000 mAh capacity of the Note Edge. However, the Note Edge last longer for 18 hours, while the Tab S can last up to 11 hours.
The Galaxy Note Edge is worth $299, while the Galaxy S Tab 10.5 is more expensive at $436.
