It looks like the release date for Ubisoft's hacking and open-world video game, Watch Dogs 2 has been revealed online.
According to reports from Gospel Herald, Watch Dogs 2 is rumored to launch sometime in July 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and in the PC platforms, while a previews report from The Latino Post claim that the sequel will launch on June 2016.Ubisoft hasn't said anything regarding Watch Dogs 2 launch as Ubisoft is still planning its early stages of its development.
Previews reports from GameSpot revealed that Ubisoft's creative director Jonathan Morin is working on new improvements that needs to be done in the sequel, admitting it is a serious gamble for them to make.
"When you start a new project, it's a blank page and everything you do is what you want to do," Morin said."With a sequel, there is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way. You have to carry on taking risks.”
With that being said, Ubisoft looks to experiment on new ideas, from its plot and characters to its new cities and game features.
KPopStarz reported before that players can now control not just one character, but three similar to Grand Theft Auto 5 from Rockstar Games. Not only that, reports from International Business Times revealed that Watch Dogs 2 will have multiple cities such as New York, Dubai, San Francisco, Silicon City, Stockholm, Tokyo etc.
So far these are just rumors, but we gotta admit that these are some good ideas, which hopefully Ubisoft could use in developing Watch Dogs 2 in the future.
Gamers will just have to wait for further announcements from Ubisoft regarding the status of Watch Dogs 2 soon.
