Cyn Santana and her “Love and Hip Hop” co-star Erica Mena had a very public, ugly breakup during the course of the show.

Santana recently sat down for an interview with VH1’s Shirea L. Carroll where she revealed that Erica Mena wasn’t even her type, despite being drawn to her.

“Erica actually isn’t my type. I like the tomboys. I do. But like I said, in our first conversation, there was just something about her. I knew there was a little girl in there screaming for help,” explained Santana.

The “Love and Hip Hop” co-stars’ relationship went south very quickly as Cyn Santana realized that it was time to let the relationship go.

“One night, I was just like, ‘I cannot do this,’ you know. I’m done with this,” stated Santana.

She explained the reasons as to why she chose to end her relationship with Mena, stating, “If you want to act like you’re single, then maybe you should be single.”

As for Erica Mena’s current relationship with Bow Wow, Santana revealed that she doesn’t know when he came into the picture. The two had allegedly been friends for a while before Mena news surfaced that the two were engaged.

Despite her tumultuous breakup with Erica Mena, the “Love and Hip Hop” star may be moving on just like her ex-girlfriend has.

“I am in a situation right now, yes. A cyn-tuation,” explained Santana, according to Fashion N Style.

She continued, “I am happy and I've learned to keep some things private. There are just some things you don't let the world know, or show. Some things are very close to the heart and that's where you should keep it, very close to the heart."

As for Santana’s choice in lovers, the reality television star expressed that she likes someone that knows how to deal with the stresses of someone in the entertainment industry.

“I love me a strong, confident man. You have to be strong minded you know because it's not easy being in the industry and dealing with someone who's in the industry. So I need somebody to know that this is going on, but I'm coming home to you," she said.

She added, “That's the only reason why Erica and I kinda worked because we understood that. We understood this is work, this is what's going on, you gotta go host a party or you gotta go out of town for a week. I get it."
