All hope is not lost! It seems like fans will be talking for a while after Valve unintentionally confirmed the "Half Life 3" release date on Steam.
Was it really unintentional?
According to Motoring Crunch, "Steam was updated yesterday and it saw the addition of App 323900. The amazing part is with the fact that App 33900 came out with Half Life 3's logo."
"This has got the fans buzzing loudly as for the first time ever; a leak from Half Life 3 actually came from Valve themselves. Of course, Valve was notified of the buzz and has hence removed the App from the listing."
This mishap will surely be talked about in the gaming community, and most especially among fans of the franchise who are eagerly awaiting a "Half Life 3" release date announcements.
Gabe Newell, co-founder of Valve, have already made a statement regarding the said launch by saying that the game is not being developed. He has also hinted on the reasons why the 3rd installment has not been given a green light yet.
"When we started out we were a single-player video game company that could have been really successful just doing Half-Life sequel after Half-Life sequel, but we collectively said let's try to make multi-player games even though there's never been a commercial successful multi-player game," Newell said, as reported by Celebeat.
What do you think of the recent Steam leak? Could this be a sign that Valve is secretly working on "Half Life 3?"
