It's no secret that male winners have been dominating the longest-running singing program from Fox. Will "American Idol" season 14 also deliver the same result or will a girl finally break through and outshine all the other talented males in the competition?
Now that Hollywood Week is wrapped up, we are left with 22 guys and 26 girls. Although there are relatively more girls in the top 48, several memorable contestants still come from the male side of the list.
Some of the most memorable individuals include Clark Beckham, the 22-year-old street busker who impressed Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. with "Try A Little Tenderness" for his last solo on the Orpheum stage.
Fifteen-year-old Daniel Seavey also delivered with his own version of Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire."
Quentin Alexander, Michael Simeon, Nick Fradiani and Qaasim Middleton also left big impressions with their voice and stage presence.
Hollywood Anderson, Casey Thrasher, Cody Fry, Rayvon Owen and Reno Anoa'i all made it to the next round.
Among the female "American Idol" season 14 top 48 finalists, Joey Cook, Tyanna Jones, and She Scott among others were recognized for their amazing talents.
Loren Lott, in particular, delivered a very "Idol" moment singing "Skyfall" for her solo.
Meanwhile, Jax, who sang "Let It Be" in her unique voice, drew courage and inspiration from her parents who were watching inside the theater.
Hunter Larsen, Jaq Mackenzie, Maddie Walker, Alexis Gomez, Sarina-Joi Crowe, and Lovey James are just some of the girls who got into the top 48.
