Little Mix star Perrie Edwards finally weighed in on the little controversy her Instagram post has generated regarding the engagement ring that Zayn Malik gave her.
In an interview with Now! Magazine, per Sugarscape, Perrie Edwards said that she didn't think anything of the selfie she took of the injured left hand when she shared it with her followers.
"Not necessarily that I wouldn't want to be famous," she said. "I only took a picture of my hand, but apparently it was of the ring. Apparently you can't flash your hand around any more!
"I bloody love the ring, [so] I want to show it off," she added.
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has received a lot of hate from social media from One Direction fans who didn't think that she deserves to be the girlfriend of Zayn Malik. She was also rumored to have gone to the cosmetic surgeon to enhance her lip.
The lip fillers rumors continue to hound Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, so much so that her mom, Deborah, had to deny that her daughter went to a cosmetic surgeon.
The hate directed at Zayn Malik's fiancee has gotten to the point where her fans had to create a hashtag in support of the beleaguered Little Mix star.
According to the Epoch Times, the trending #respectforPerrie hasgtag was trending on Twitter, which was started by One Direction fans earlier this month.
The hashtag received a lot of support from users.
The social media campaign seems to be geared towards ending the hate against Perrie Edwards, just because she's the girlfriend of Zayn Malik.
Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik got engaged in August of last year. However, the lovebirds claimed that they have no wedding date just yet and are just taking their engagement slow. They also spent Valentine's Day apart as he's in Australia for One Direction tour and she stayed behind in studio for the Little Mix album.
