In a statement to Variety, Netflix has confirmed that Jason Biggs will not return for Season 3 of OITNB.
Biggs also spoke with the New York Daily News recently to clear up the rumors.
"They're not focusing on Larry at the moment," Biggs explained to the New York Daily News. "Larry will not be in season three. But there's always a possibility he can come back."
Instead, the actor will be returning to the state to star in "The Heidi Chronicles" opposite Elisabeth Moss and Bryce Pinkham. The Broadway show premieres on Monday, February 23.
Larry Bloom (Jason Biggs) will not be the only character not to return to OITNB's third season. It was previously reported that Pablo Schreiber will not reprise his part as officer George "Pornstache" Mendez. In addition, despite rumors to the contrary, Lorraine Touissant has confirmed that Vee is truly dead and will not reappear in Season 3.
On the other hand, a couple new faces will be added to the cast of familiar characters. "A League of Their Own" actress Lori Petty will be granted a more significant role in her portrayal as the friendly-yet-creepy Lolly. Plus, you can also expect to see Blair Brown, Mary Steenburgen, and Mike Birbiglia in guest starring roles. Australian model Ruby Rose will also join the inmates of Litchfield Penitentiary as Stella Carlin, the "captivating...lust object" of both Piper and Alex.
