Good news gamers as Sony will announce the release date for the PS4 Slim at E3 2015, along with its new features and specs.
According to Venture Capital Post, Sony reportedly claimed that they will showcase the PlayStation 4 Slim at the Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Sony has released the PlayStation 4 console in November 2013 and has sold over 18.8 million units world wide.
However, WCCF Tech explained that many gamers complained about the new console's stability issues and the video games that run below 1080p, and that Sony's best bet to rectify these issues is through the PS4 Slim with its new hardware and features.
According to WCCF Tech, the PS4 Slim will have a compact and more coordinated design than its predecessor, in which, will improve several hardware issues such as SDD in place of the HDD that will optimize the latest video games in full 1080p resolution, and other next-gen standards.
The Christian Post speculated that the PS4 Slim will also have a higher resolution of 4K HD.
"Support for high-resolution 4K output for still images and movie content is in consideration, but there are no further details to share at this time," Sony announced in their website.
Further details revealed that Sony is planning to remove the optical Blu-Ray drive as users prefer to keep their games digital. The removal of the optical drive will allow the PS4 Slim to have minimal loading time and easy data transfers, using a solid state drive, WCCF Tech reports.
Several reported images of the PS4 Slim have been making rounds throughout the internet, but with Sony revealing the PS4 Slim on E3 2015 this coming June, video game fans will just have to wait a little longer for the PS4 Slim to be unveiled at the event, along with its new improvements and design.
