Microsoft Announced Lumia 635 Variant With 1GB RAM While Lumia 640 Specs Surfaced Online

The tech giant Microsoft has quietly announced a new model of Lumia 635 with an additional memory of RAM, while its new flagship - Lumia 640 - and its specs has been leaked online.

According to the report of Gadgets NDTV, another variant of Nokia Lumia 635 will arrive with 1GB of RAM. Its former RAM is 512MB and will vary in selected markets.

"It also notes a drop in maximum standby time between the 512MB RAM variant from 25 days to 19 days with the 1GB variant," the site wrote. Moreover, according to WM Power User, the handset will not be sold in every country, instead, it will be restricted to certain markets.

In terms of its price and availability, as of this writing, the said handset with 1GB of RAM will reach carriers such as Movistar, TIM, Telekom, Wind and more. It is also reported that Microsoft might end adding handsets that only has 512MB of RAM.

Meanwhile, documents from Brazil's regulatory agency Anatel have indicated a new flagship from Microsoft called Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual SIM DTV.

The International Business Times reported that the Nokia Power User, a technology blog, unearth a document through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about the speculated Microsoft Lumia 640.

"According to the document, Lumia 640 is said to sport a 5.0-inch HD screen and ship a Snapdragon 400 series quad-core SoC (System on Chip), Adreno 305 graphics engine, 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable)."

Furthermore, the speculated Microsoft Lumia 640 might feature an 8.7MP back camera and a 0.9MP front snapper. As for its operating system, the Lumia 640 might run on Microsoft latest OS which is Windows 10.

Meanwhile, the Lumia 640, which is said to kick off at $275, might debut along with the Lumia 1330 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), which is scheduled next week.
