Shonda Rhimes Criticizes Lady Gaga's 'Sound Of Music' Tribute At Oscars 2015; 'How To Get Away With Murder' Producer Says 'That Was Not Okay'

The creator of "How to Get Away with Murder" Shonda Rhimes on Feb. 22 Sunday brought her sentiments on Twitter about Lady Gaga's performance of "The Sound of Music" which is contrary to many.

Lady Gaga performed the song "The Sound of Music" during the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday Feb. 22 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles California.

Citing Yahoo, Hollywood Reporter said that Lady Gaga's performance at the Oscars gain praises from netizens on Twitter, Facebook and even the big names in the business, which includes Bette Midler and Steve Martin.

Both Martin and Midler congratulates the singer for her rendition of song and added that the girl now can sing anything aside from her usual songs.

Ellen DeGeneres as well posted on Twitter and said that Lady Gaga made her want to climb mountain and "she also made me want to ford every stream and I don't even know what that means. #Oscars2015."

The 28-year-old singer wowed the audience at the event as well as her fans by singing her rendition of the song "The Sound of Music" medley in line of celebrating the film's 50th anniversary.

The legendary actress Julie Andrews, who played the role as Maria on the original movie "Sound of Music," was entertained by the performance of Lady Gaga and embraced the singer, saying "Dear Lady Gaga, thank you for that wonderful tribute"; however, the famous creator of "How To Get Away With Murder" and other well-known TV shows including "Scandal" and "Grey's Anatomy" did not appreciate the singer.

The US Magazine reported that on Sunday Feb. 22, "Scandal" producer wrote on Twitter about Lady Gaga's performance which is contrary to others.

"That was not okay," she wrote "I mean, Idina is there." Further emphasizing the singer Idina Menzel and added: "Oh dear God, Julie had to hear that. #Oscars2015"

Meanwhile, the majority of the viewers could not disagree with Rhimes, reports show that the highest activity of the event on social media is Lady Gaga's performance.
