Aside from the cast and crew, AnimeNewsNetwork revealed the plot synopsis of the anime based on the works of Nagaru Tanigawa's Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series.
"This spin-off of the Haruhi Suzumiya series takes place in the world of the "Disappearance" arc of the original novels, focusing on the high school life (and romance!) of a tentative and bashful Yuki Nagato quite unlike the one you've come to know and love through the usual exploits of the SOS Brigade... but no less charming!" according to Japanese publisher Yen Press.
It is been almost four years since anime fans last saw or heard of Haruhi Suzumiya in any form of media. Nagaru Tanigawa's light novel series has been a huge success, not only in Asia but around the world. It was Kyoto animation who produced the anime TV series way back in April 2-July 2 of 2006, and was rebroadcast from April 3-October 9 of 2009. It also spawned a spin-off, "The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya" and the anime film, "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya".
