The "Mass Effect 4" release date has been allegedly set to October 2016 by BioWare.

It has been reported that an alleged BioWare dev for "Mass Effect 4" has revealed in his LinkedIn page that the "Mass Effect 4" release date is going to be on October 2016.

Cyberland reported that alleged Software Engineer, Kevin Plitzko has revealed in his LinkedIn page that he is working on "Mass Effect 4" and that it is allegedly going to be released on October 2016.

"Kevin Plitzko, a software engineer over at BioWare said in his LinkedIn profile (it's set to private now) that the next Mass Effect game would be launched on October...next year" wrote Cyberland.

Cyberland then continued, "Expect a cinematic teaser reveal at E3."

Meanwhile, BioWare has revealed a lot of new information about the the scope and the multiplayer gameplay of "Mass Effect 4".

Bioware's Aaryn Flynn revealed new information about "Mass Effect 4" on NeoGAF and he confirms that moving over to the next-gen hardware has had a lot of impact on the gameplay of "Mass Effect 4".

"All of our games are using Frostbite now," said Aaryn Flynn. "We've said the next Mass Effect (and our new IP, but I won't expand on that yet) uses some of the technology from DAI. We've been enjoying building larger areas that you can explore with less friction, so that'll be there as well."

Aaryn Flynn continued, "But after that, the next Mass Effect will be (and should be) drawing on its own rich and successful past more than what DAI would say it should do. Take the Mako, something we've already shown in prototype form. We had that in ME1, and bringing it back is more related to a feeling that we can do it much better than we did before and fulfill the original promise of that gameplay. That has nothing to do with DAI. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that dropping the older consoles has had more impact on the overall gameplay goals of the next Mass Effect game than what DAI successfully accomplished."

It should also be noted that BioWare's Chris Wynn confirmed that "Mass Effect 4" will have multiplayer and they are looking for people who can make it better.
