Good news gamers as Capcom unveil new updates for "Street Fighter 5" regarding an online beta test, a returning character, and rumored fighter joining to roster soon.
According to the official post from the PlayStation Blog, Capcom has announced an online beta program for "Street Fighter 5," which will be available for the PlayStation 4 console and for the PC. Capcom adds that the "Street Fighter 5" online beta test will be the largest and the most ambitious in the arcade fighting game's history as the test will determine the gamers feedback from its gameplay to its characters. The feedback will give Capcom a chance to site several issues and expand new ideas for the game.
Polygon reported that pre-order customers in North America will receive access to the online beta program, although, Capcom has not yet announced further details regarding its release date or plans where the beta test would be held.
Aside from the online beta test, Capcom has began streaming a new gameplay trailer for "Street Fighter 5" that features the return of classic character in the series, Charlie Nash.
Charlie Nash's appearance and fighting style in the game are slightly different as several stitches are found in his body while his combat style showcased several attacks that are new to the character. Perhaps this is Capcom's way of distinguishing Charlie Nash from his best friend Guile as both characters have the same fighting style. Charlie Nash made his debut in the "Street Fighter" Alpha game series as the commanding officer and partner of Guile, and also taught Guile his techniques like the "Sonic Boom" and the "Flash kick."
Gamerant adds that the official Capcom community blog offered details on Charlie Nash's absence in the "Street Fighter" series.
“Charlie Nash has been a fan favorite character in the Street Fighter series for years and finally makes his comeback in Street Fighter V, although noticeably a little… different. Initially presumed to be dead by both friends and foes alike, Nash’s return shows that his story is far from over.” “While the mysteries surrounding his return will become clear later on, for now we’re pleased to announce that the originator of the Sonic Boom is back with quite a few new tricks…” according to the Capcom-Unity website.
The trailer ends with another character teaser as M.Bison will be the next character to join the roster of "Street Fighter 5." However, Steven 'Dreamking23' Chavez from Event Hubs posted a screen shot during the Charlie Nash trailer, and reportedly claims that Fei Long would be joining the game soon.
It is worth noting that EventHubs.com also created a poll on which Street Fighter character should join the roster which includes Alex, Q, R.Mika,Karen, Urien, Oro, Juri, Sean, Eagle, and Sodom. Venture Capital Post previously reported that Capcom might give more game details for "Street Fighter 5" in gaming events such as E3 2015 and EVO 2015.
"Street Fighter 5" is tentatively slated on March 31, 2016 in Amazon.com at a price of $59.99.
