"America's Top Model" creator Tyra Banks and judge Kelly Cutrone offer their sympathies for the family of former contestant Mirjana Pujar who was killed in a triple homicide inside the house of her boyfriend in Charlotte, NC on Tuesday.
Model/host Tyra Banks and executive producer Ken Mok issued a statement that read, "We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic news about Mirjana Puhar. She was a vivacious and promising young woman. Our hearts and prayers go out to her loved ones."
Fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone told Hollywood Life that she was shocked upon hearing about the death of former "America's Top Model" contestant Mirjana Pujar.
"I was shocked and deeply saddened when I woke up this morning and heard the news of Mirjana's passing. She was a beautiful, funny, smart, amazing girl," she said. "My heart goes out to her family and I'll always hold her and her memory in an elevated place."
J Alexander, who's also a judge and ramp trainer in the show, tweeted "Saddened to learn about #ANTM Cycle 21 contestant Mirjana Puhar's murder. Remembering her fondly. RIP."
According to the police report, the victims knew the killer and the triple homicide was "drug related." It's not clear if Mirjana Pujar was involved, or was just hanging out at her boyfriend's home when the killer barged in and fired the shots.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that the suspect, 19-year-old Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, in the killing of Mirjana Pujar was already arrested and charged with three counts of murder.
"The boyfriend, Jonathan Alvarado was 23 ... and the third victim was 21-year-old Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia. Our sources say Jusmar was Jonathan's roommate and best friend. We're told Mirjana had just moved in with the guys," the report said.
Mirjana Pujar was a contestant of "America's Top Model" Cycle 21.
