Looks like a good news for smartphone users as HTC launched its flagship phone - HTC One 9 - at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 1.

The M9 sports a similar design style and theme as the HTC One M8, however the biggest change in the phone is its camera. The HTC One M9 is housed in an all-metal unibody design which is highlighted by a dual-tone silver and rose gold finish, along with mirror-polished gold sides.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the Taiwanese phone-maker has added some nice touches to the new One M9, which runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Although rumors hinting a larger "phablet" edition of the phone didn't come to fruition, the Taiwanese mobile maker revealed its first wearable device, the Grip and its first virtual reality headset, the Vive, with content partner Valve.

According to First Post, the HTC One 9 smartphone boasts a 5-inch full HD display along with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution at 441 pixels per inch. In order to offer added protection, HTC has added Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor powered smartphone. The HTC One 9 comes with 3GB of RAM and has an internal storage of 32GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The Sydney Morning Herald noted that the new HTC One 9 feels sturdy and smooth to hold making it an apt device for those with smaller hands. Although it looks similar to the One M8 from the front, HTC has dropped the dual cameras for a single 20MP camera with sapphire glass, for improved selfies. That said, the One M8's dual camera facilitated fantastic foregrounding and back grounding with its U-Focus once in edit mode, creating professional looking photos.

Phone Dog noted that the buttons have changed for the better, eliminating the need for reaching over the top to get to the power key and placing it on the right-hand edge below the two now-separate volume buttons.

Thanks to its partnership with Dolby, the HTC One M9's speakers features a 5.1 surround sound.

Sensors include Gyro Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Compass Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor. The HTC One M9 is designed to support a Nano SIM card, and as far as connectivity is concerned, the device has Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. It features HTC Connect that facilitates wireless streaming media from the phone to compatible multi-room audio system, NFC and Micro-USB.

The smartphone features a non-removable Li-Po 2840 mAh battery (144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61 mm) and weighs 157g. The pricing and availability is not yet revealed.
