The Sony Mobile has unveiled its new flagship, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua and revealed its specs, feature, price and release date.
According to GSM Arena, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is IP68-certified handset, which means that the device is protected against dust. The said device can also last for up to 30 minutes in a 1.5m deep water.
The site mentioned that the Sony Xperia M4 will be available this spring in more than 80 countries and 100 carriers with a suggested retail price of €299, roughly around $330.
Furthermore, in the Sony Mobile website, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua has a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It weights 136 grams measuring 145.5mm x 72.6mm x 7.3mm.
The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, with a 64-bit Octa-core, 2 GB of RAM memory and an Adreno 405 GPU.
As for the storage capacity, the Xperia M4 Aqua has 8 and 16 GB internal storage variants and can be expanded up to 32 GB through an SD card.
In terms of camera, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua has a 13MP camera at the back and 5MP camera on the front. The camera has auto focus, 4x digital zoom, HDR for photos, full HD video recording, Sony Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, SteadyShot, superior auto, image stabiliser, red-eye reduction, Geo tagging and other photography features.
The handset runs on Google Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with a 2,400 mAh battery that can last up to 13 hours and 17 minutes talk time and 779 hours on standby time mode.
Meanwhile, Xperia M4 Aqua will be available in four colors which is black, white, "coral" red and silver. The said device is also available in both 3G and LTE options.
The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is the successor of the Xperia M2 Aqua which has been launched in August 2014.
