The Taiwanese tech has not yet disclosed the Asus Zenfone Zoom released date, but a new report suggests that it will be in the second quarter of the year.
According to Christian Post, Asus is said to release the new smartphone sometime in the second quarter which will have a debut price of $399.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom is the world's thinnest 3x optical zoom smartphone that is equipped with an Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz with a PowerVR G6430 GPU. The Zenfone Zoom will come with storage variants in 128, 64, 32 and 16GB plus 2 or 4 GB of RAM. The Fuse Joplin reported.
Furthermore, in the Asus website, the Asus Zenfone Zoom is dubbed by the company as the "world's thinnest 3X optical smartphone offering up to 12X zoom-in effect."
The Asus Zenfone Zoom has a 5.5-inch screen Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a ppi of 403. The device features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for the protection of screen against scratches.
The smartphone runs on a brand-new ASUS ZenUI with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It sports a 3,000 mAh lithium-polymer battery and different sensor which includes accelerometer, proximity, ambient-light, gyroscopic, digital compass and hall-effect.
When it comes to the camera, the Asus Zenfone Zoom has a 5MP camera on the front with f/2.0-aperture, wide -angle (88 degrees) lens with Selfie Panorama while the rear camera has 13MP that features 10-element lenses with 3X optical zoom, optical image stabilization, laser auto focus and dual-color Real Tone flash.
The Pixel Master features backlight (HDR) mode, enhanced beautification mode, low light mode, manual mode and zero shutter lag.
The Asus has revealed the Zenfone Zoom and Zenfone 2 at the CES event in Las Vegas in January. The Zenfone 2 release date is confirmed on March 9.
