Konami has disclosed the "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain" release date along with its multiplayer content - the "Metal Gear Online."
The "Metal Gear Solid 5" release date is on Sept. 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles; however, for PC users, they will have to wait a bit longer as the game is scheduled for Sept. 15 release on Steam. The Cinema Blend reported.
The said release date of the game also apply with the "Metal Gear Online" for no additional charge. Similar to the older multiplayer component of the game, it allows players to choose between several character classes with their equipment and abilities.
The players who pre-order the "Metal Gear Solid 5," whether physical or digital copy, will get in-game bonuses such as Adam-ska Special handgun, Personal Ballistic Shield (silver), Cardboard Box (Wetland), Metal Gear Online XP boost and Fatigues (Blue Urban Snake Costume).
Furthermore, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owner can get the "Metal Gear Solid 5" Collector's Edition, which costs £99.99/$99.99. According to IGN, the tangible goods are half-scale replica of snake's bionic arm, a map, collectible Steelbook, exclusive packaging and behind-the-scenes documentary and trailers in Blu-ray disc.
Moreover, the "Metal Gear Solid 5" collector's edition has tons of digital goods that includes cardboard boxes, weapon skins and more.
The weapon and shield pack included are Windurger S333 Comba Special Weapon, Adam-ska Special Weapon, Rasp Short-Barreled Shotgun Gold Special Weapon, Maschinen aktische Pistole 5 Weiss Special Weapon and a Personal Ballistic Shield in Olive Drab, Silver, White, and Gold.
Snake costume includes gray urban, all-purpose dryland, blue urban and fatigues in black ocelot. The MGO items are golden AM MRS-4, golden WUS .PISTOL and metal gear rex helmet.
The "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" continues the storyline from the MGSS: Ground Zeroes. The Snake's mercenary army has been ruined and he is wounded and will recruit a new team to get revenge.
