The Huawei has disclosed that Huawei Honor 4X is heading to the UK with an octa-core 64-bit Kirin 620 SoC chipset, the Fone Arena reported.
"The Honor 4X is proof that Honor is continuing to shake up the smartphone space and is dedicated to meeting the need of our 'always on' digital native audience," said Lars Weisswange Chief Engagement and Communications Office of Honor Europe. "Honor remains focused on delivering high quality, valuable devices to digital natives that suit their lifestyle and budget."
As of this writing, a specific release time frame is not yet available but the site said that the device will be made available for U.K. sometime in the second quarter of 2015. The publication added that Huawei Honor 4X SIM-free and unlocked form will be offered for just £149.99, which is roughly around $230.
Furthermore, the Huawei Honor 4X is the same model that is already been sold in China last year. It has a 5.5-inch screen with an IPS display and a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.
The only difference of the specs is that the device is powered by Huawei's own 64-bit HiSilicon Kirin 620 SoC with a 1.2 GHz octa-core CPU and a Mali MP4 GPU. This replaces the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 part found in the Honor 4X in China, cite GSM Arena.
As for the camera, the Huawei Honor 4X has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper. It features LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor and other photography features that the user can explore with.
It is said that the Huawei Honor 4X has 2 GB of RAM with an 8 GB of internal memory that is expandable via MciroSD. The device is a dual SIM (micro SIM slots) with dual standby and a 3,000 mAh battery.
The Huawei Honor 4X runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with Emotion UI 3.0, but the company is promising that the device will have a Lollipop update this summer.
