New game details for the next Silent Hill game, "Silent Hills" have been revealed regarding its release date process and plot details.
"Silent Hills" is being developed by Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and "Pacific Rim" director Guillermo Del Toro as "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus will play the protagonist in the latest installment of the game.
The Christian Post previously reported that Reedus was excited about the project although he hasn't started on the "heavy stuff".
"I'm super excited to be a part of Silent Hills. Both those guys are geniuses at what they do. We haven't shot the 'heavy stuff' yet", Reedus said at the time.
According to Segment Next Kojima and his team will try to launch "Silent Hills" in episodic style similar to American TV series, but clarified that this was only one of the considerations they were making for for the game and it didn't mean that a decision had been taken. Several video games have undergo this kind of practice such as Capcom's "Resident Evil Revelations 2", and TellTale games "The Walking Dead" game series.
Venture Capital Post reports that Kojima will utilize the Fox Engine in "Silent Hills" as the game engine is well known in the use of "Metal Gear" game series.
"All I can say is Fox Engine is meant for open world. I cannot discuss more on the game design itself in detail yet," Kojima said.
The website adds that "Silent Hills" will have an open-world gameplay and players can switch between first-person to third-person gameplay, WhatIfGaming reports.
In other news, YouTube username "DreamcastGuy" posted several theories about "Silent Hills" plot details which involves alternate dimensions and demon possessions.
VG24/7 has reported that YouTube username SirDaidv Gaming posted another theory which involves an alien invasion scenario.
"Silent Hills" will launch on Halloween 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
