Microsoft's latest flagship Lumia 640 is up for pre-order in the U.K. starting on April 7, as GSM Arena reported.
The company has put up pre-order of the Microsoft Lumia 640 in the Microsoft store in Germany, France and the U.K. The German store has set a price of EUR 159, the device goes for UER 179 on the French website, whereas in the U.K. website is priced at £169.99.
As for the availability, the Microsoft Lumia 640 will be available in the U.K. starting on April 7 while Germany and France release date has been moved to April 16.
Furthermore, the Microsoft Lumia 640 being offered in the UK is an LTE version. According to Microsoft Store website, the smartphone has a 5-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and a ppi of 294. The device has an IPS LCD technology with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for screen protection.
The handset has superb display features such as sunlight readability enhancements, easy to clean, Lumia Colore profile and more. It has also a proximity, accelerometer and compass sensors.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with a Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and Lumia Denim. When it comes to memory and storage, the device has a 1 GB of RAM with 8 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD plus 30GB2 free on OneDrive.
It has an 8MP camera at the back and a 0.9MP camera on the front. The camera has auto focus, 4x camera digital zoom, ¼ inch sensor size, LED flash, backside-illuminated image sensor, dynamic flash, rich capture, still images, video call and other photography features that the user can explore with.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 has a 2,500 mAh battery with a maximum standby time of 36 days, maximum talk time in 25 for 26 hours and maximum talk time in 3G for 17.5 hours.
