The Moto E (2015) which has been launched at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress is now available in the United States for $100, without a long-term contract, the GSM Arena reported.
The site said that Sprint and its prepaid brands - the Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile - from the U.S., will launch the Moto E on March 9.
"Spring is around the corner and your wallet has finally recovered from the holiday-spending frenzy, so now might be the time to consider a new phone," Danielle Babbington, the public relations manager for the Boost Mobile brand at Sprint wrote on Sprint official blog site. "May I introduce the Moto E, available without a long-term contract for only $99.99 (excludes taxes)."
The Moto E 2015, which runs ona a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor for 3g models and Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor for LTE models, has a 4.5-inch IPS capacitive display with a resolution of 540 x 960 and a ppi of 245. It has Corning Gorillas Glass 3 and oleophobic coating for the screen protection.
The device runs on Google's latest operating system, the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, with an Adreno 302 GPU for the 3G model and Adreno 306 GOU for the LTE models. It has an 8 GB internal storage and can be expanded up to 32 GB via SDcard.
In terms of camera, the Moto E 2015 has 5MP back snapper and VGA lens on its front facing shooter.
Moto E also supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB connectivity. It has a Li-Ion 2,390 mAh battery that is available in two color variants - White and Black. Moto E white variant is available on Boost Mobile while the black version is available through Sprint Prepaid at Best Buy and Radio Shack.
