Players can now fight and explore on both land and air, as well as use magic attacks since the game is based on ALfheim Online (ALO) arc.
Siliconera previously reported that the magic attacks on "Sword Art Online" are based on Fire, Ice, Earth, Wind, Light, Dark, and Water.
Each magic attack can create a specific damage or skill to both friend and foe. For instance Water magic can be used for healing allies, while Fire , Earth, and Ice can do damage to a monster. Wind provides crowd control so that players won't be overwhelmed. Light and Dark attacks are tricky to use due to certain situations for example Light magic can hit multiple enemies, and its easier to control, while Dark magic can do powerful damage, but players will have a tough time aiming at enemies.
Other magic attacks in the game includes buff and debuff-type magics, which can have an effect to the characters stats as well as enemy units.
