Stana Katic, who plays Kate Beckett in the "Castle," answered questions from 10 fan tweets before capping her day. One question asked her thoughts on the upcoming series finale of "Castle" rather than the show's "season finale."
Katic replied, "Proud of all we've accomplished. Grateful 4 being part of the ride."
With their contracts ending this season, both Stana Katic and co-star Nathan Fillion, who portrays Richard Castle, neither confirmed or denied the possible cancellation of "Castle" season 8. ABC has also kept mum about the developments of the premiere.
According to TV By The Numbers, if Katic and Fillion renew their contract with "Castle," there is a possibility that the show will be picked up. Both Global News and Headlines have already reached out for comments from an ABC representative about the status of the show.
In a previous interview, Stana Katic hinted that there will be no "Castle" season 8 premiere. With Beckett gone, it's still unclear if the show would still be cancelled or renewed.
"I don't think that a show should overstay its welcome. If the character is complete, if there is nowhere else to go creatively, then I think it's better to stop when you're on top," she said.
"Tell a great story and then go home and move onto something else. Don't milk it 'just because," Katic added.
