Asus Zenfone 2 Price For 4GB Model Is $285; Device Offer Two RAM Variants; When Will It Be Available?

The Taiwanese company on Monday, March 9 revealed the price of Asus Zenfone 2 and its new variants of handset.

According to GSM Arena, the new Zenfone-series includes ZE551ML model with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen that has 4 GB of RAM and runs on a 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel processor. It has a capacity of 32 GB internal storage and is priced at HTD 8,990, roughly around $285.

The second version of ZE551ML is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and runs on a 1.8 GHz clock speed with a debut price of NTD 6,990, which is equivalent of $220.

The third model is the ZE550ML with a 5.5-inch 720p screen, with 1.8 GHz clock speed, 2 GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The device price is NTD 5,990 roughly around $190.

The last one is the ZE500CL, a smaller 5-inch device with a 720p display, equipped with 1.6 GHz processor, has 2 GB of RAM and cost about NTD 4,990 or $160. This model is said to be the basic model of the series which only supports single-SIM, unlike other variant of Zenfone 2.

Furthermore, all versions of Asus Zenfone 2 can support an expandable storage via microSD card of up to 64GB. All variants run on the company's new ZenUI based on Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

In terms of camera, the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML and Zenfone 2 ZE550ML both have a 13MP rear PixelMaster camera while a 5MP camera on the front and feature a dual-tone flash. On the other hand, the Zenfone 2 ZE500CL has an 8MP rear PixelMaster camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.

As for the battery, the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE500CL has a 2,500 mAh battery, while both the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML variants and Zenfone 2 ZE550ML have a 3,000 mAh battery.

Asus Zenfone 2 will be available in China, Hong Kong, France and Singapore starting in March while other countries such as Italy and other Southeast Asian markets, including India, will get their hands on the new series by April. In Brazil, the device will be released in June, cite Gadgets NDTV.
