Good news gaming fans as Sony will showcase its VR head gear Project Morpheus in E3 2015 along with new features and price details.

According to Gamespot, Sony Computer Entertainment President Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that they will showcase Project Morpheus at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in June at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Gamespot further reports that Sony will also add several games to be used for the Project Morpheus demo at the event.

"Many studios of ours are working on actual games,” Yoshida told Gamespot. “We haven’t talked about these games as yet. We are waiting for the right time. Starting probably at E3, we will start to show the actual games.”

VG24/7 reports that Sony is also testing new demos and features for the VR headgear to show how powerful and impressive it is to consumers and developers as Yoshida admitted that he is "excited" about Project Morpheus, but he is more interested on the games.

“I’m expecting a developer that we don’t even know exists today will come up with something amazing,” Yoshida said.

Yoshida further adds, "What excites me most, from our experience launching many platforms, is that it’s always someone who we do not expect that comes up with totally new ideas and blows anybody’s mind.”

As for its price details, Yoshida did not give any specific price but he said that "it's Sony's goal to offer the device for as low a price point as possible."

PC Pro reported before that Project Morpheus price could be around £200 ( $306.82 USD) to £300 ( $460.16 USD).

Gamerant reported that Project Morpheus is equipped with a 5.7″ OLED display with a 1920 x RGB x 1020 resolution while PC Pro claims that the VR headgear has a Full HD 1080p LCD display with a 960 x 1080 resolution.

It is said that Project Morpheus can handle graphics at 120fps, and has the ability to upscale games from 60fps to 120fps. The website adds that it has nine tracking LEDs and Sony has managed to get the headset’s latency down to less than 18 milliseconds.

Project Morpheus is expected to launch on the first half of 2016.
