New updates for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 have been revealed regarding a new VR headgear, specs, features and price details.
According to International Business Times, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be receiving its own virtual reality head gear called the Gear VR from Oculus. Chief technology officer John Carmack has recently revealed their plans to launch the Gear VR with the Note 5 as Engadget reportedly claimed that Gear VR is ready to be released sometime this year, during the Game Developer's Conference 2015 last week.
"We've got a plan now; we've got a date," Carmack said. "You can kind of mark it on the calendars. Oculus is going to go for it as hard as we can [with] broad consumers, trying to sell as many units as possible, unleashing Samsung [marketing] with the next Gear VR."
Geeky Gadgets reports that the Gear VR will also come in handy with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and 6 Edge, and the device will be released in the market along with Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the Note 5's release date as the Christian Post reports that the Samsung phablet will launch on Sept. 3, while Phone Arena claimed that it will launch on April 19 to April 27.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a 4K Super AMOLED display measuring 5.9-inches that can render a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels at a pixel density of 743ppi, Design&Trend reports.
The Fuse Joplin previously reported that its processor is the Exynos 7420 chipset clocked at 3.2 GHz, having a 8GB RAM and an internal memory of 64GB which can be expanded up to 128GB; however, Christian Post reportedly claimed that the Note 5's processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that can also be expanded up to 128GB.
The Science Times reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which will cost around $900 off contract, is equipped with a 20.9 MP rear camera, while its front shooter is at 5MP.
