Gwyneth Paltrow arrived in Hong Kong without make-up as Chris Martin's ex-wife headlined amfAR annual gala, this time in the Chinese territory.
The 42-year-old actress shared a selfie on her Instagram as she settled in the backseat of the vehicle that ferried her from the airport to the hotel. She captioned the image, "Gooooood morning Hong Kong! @amfar."
The photo of Gwyneth Paltrow without make-up generated a lot of positive comments and support.
One fan wrote, "My face idol. So beautiful."
Another said, "Looking as Beautiful as always x."
"Greetings from Geneva! You're as beautiful as my wife ... and I presume just as nice!" one male fan commented.
"As it turns out, Paltrow may have just been keeping her ensemble simple as the actress' evening plans took her to Shaw Studios for amfAR's inaugural Hong Kong Gala," E! News reported.
"Wearing a floor-length navy gown with her blonde locks down, the 42-year-old looked stunning for the charity event benefiting HIV and AIDS research," it added.
The amfAR is a non-profit organization dedicated to HIV and AIDS research.
According to its website, research funded by the organization
"has increased our understanding of HIV and has helped lay the groundwork for major advances in the study and treatment of HIV/AIDS. Since 1985, amfAR has invested more than $388 million in its programs and has awarded more than 3,300 grants to research teams worldwide."
E! added that Chris Martin's ex was wearing a total of 113 carats of Harry Winston Diamonds-counting her bracelet, ring and diamond earrings-for the amfAR gala.
"Putting fabulous bling and fashion aside, Paltrow and guests including Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell were able raise more than $4 million for the important cause," the article added.
Gwyneth Paltrow, who announced her conscious uncoupling from Chris Martin last year, is also the founder of lifestyle website, Goop.
