The Samsung Galaxy S6, which has been unveiled in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress is reported to launch on April 11 in the U.S., cite Phone Arena.

The site wrote that a tipster who shared the information about the launch of the device is working with one of the four major U.S. carriers. The source said that Samsung reps are currently visiting retail outlets for providing demo and training on the new device including the Galaxy S6 Edge.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the device would be launched in a "limited capacity" similar to the Galaxy Note Edge.

Furthermore, according to the report of Tech Times, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular have created a pre-order registration pages for interested customers who want to be alerted immediately as to pre-order details for the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a ppi of 577. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for screen protection and TouchWiz UI.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S6 runs on Exynos 7420 processor clocked with a CPU of quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57. The handset has a Mali-T670 GPU with 3 GB of RAM and storage variants of 32, 64 and 128GB respectively. When it comes to the operating system, the device runs on Android v5.0.2 Lollipop.

As for the camera, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, optical image stabilization, autofocus, auto real-time HDR, Geo-tagging, face detection and panorama. The front-facing camera has 5MP with features such as dual video call auto HDR with 120 wide angle lens that can let the user to capture an image with exceptional clarity.

The smartphone has a 2,550 mAh battery and features a built-in industry-standard wireless charging capability. It also features an ultra power saving mode, which allows users to continue to make calls and text even the battery is down to only 10 percent.
