The Porsche Design and BlackBerry Limited officially announced on March 16 the new Porsche Design P'9983 Graphite smartphone.
In the official website of the BlackBerry, the P'9983 Graphite is made of graphite-metallic colored elements. It has a unique stylish design from an iconic and productivity experience of BlackBerry 10 technology.
"The iconic styling of the new P'9983 Graphite from BlackBerry is technically inspired with longevity, integrity, and individuality at its core and it will offer a new way to express individual style with the luxury of being one step ahead," said Roland Heiler the Chief Design Officer of the Porsche Design Group.
Ron Louks the President in Device and Emerging Solutions of BlackBerry added that the device is made for people who strive for success, he said: "This professional tool will deliver superior productivity, ultimate security and privacy as well as effective communication and collaboration."
Furthermore, according to CrackBerry, the BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 Graphite smartphone will be available from Porsche Design stores, retailers and selected carriers around the world in the upcoming week. The device has a retail price set at $1,950.
The smartphone has a 3.1-inch touch display with a resolution of 720 x 729 and a 21-bit color depth. The device has a physical BlackBerry keyboard featuring contextual auto-correction, next-word prediction, instant action typing shortcuts and personalized learning engine.
The BlackBerry P'9983 Graphite runs Snapdragon chipset with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Krait processor, cite GSM Arena. It has 2GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via memory card.
The device has an 8MP rear camera with photography features such as 5x proprietary enhanced super resolution digital zoom, 4DOF video stabilisation, hybrid absorptive IR filter and a 1080p HD video recording. The front camera has 2MP with 3x digital zoom, 720p HD video recording and image and video stabilisation.
The phone has a 2100 mAh battery which last up to 14 hours talk time on 3G and up to 9 hours talk time on 2G.
