The Roman Catholic leader Pope Francis said on a Mexican television that he expects that his pontificate will be brief, cite the Independent.Ie.
The site wrote that Pope Francis said in an interview with a Mexican network Televisia, in line with his second anniversary of his election, that his papacy will be short and it might be for three years.
"I have a feeling that my pontificate will be brief, four of five years; I do not know, even two or three," said Pope Francis.
"Two have already passed it is a somewhat vague sensation, maybe it's like the psychology of the gambler who convinces himself he will lose, so he won't be disappointed and if he wins is happy, I do not know," he added.
According to Fox 6 Now, Pope Francis added that he feels that the Lord has placed him for a short time to lead the church and when asked whether he likes being Pope, he said he was not minding about it.
He said that he likes to go out one day without being recognized by the people and eat a pizza at a pizzeria.
Pope Francis has earned tremendous praise for being a modernized force in the Catholic Church and awarded as The Advocate's Person on a gay rights magazine in 2013 and Time Magazine Man of Year in the same year.
He also gained popularity in the U.S., in which, two-thirds of people that have no particular religion have a favorable opinion of Pope Francis, the NBC News reported.
On Friday Pope Francis announced at the communal penance service at St. Peter's Basilica that a "Jubilee of Mercy" will begin in December and the theme will end on Nov. 26, 2016.
Overall, there have been 26 jubilees since the first in 1300 and the most recent was in 2000.
